Portazo Island Debriefing

Well! Portazo Island is finally finished. I got to say, this map was fun at times and a chore at others. It was made by cecilhowe of the Curse forums and I have to give him a hand for a job well done. The map was very simple and had little to no limitations. He set out some clear goals and then sent you on your way. I would definitely recommend it to somebody who wants to do something a little different in Minecraft. I hope you guys enjoyed reading and I'll be starting my next adventure soon. Hopefully by tomorrow morning I'll have some stuff to read for my next adventure.

Stay fishy guys!

Portazo Island Finished.

Yes my dear friends, Portazo Island Resort is ready and open for business!
Enjoy the pics!

So! That was fun right? Well here's a download for the save! Also, the lighthouse top floor is full of cats. But you'll have to see for yourself! Download my finished product here!
A quick rundown of the goals:
-Build a village - Built! Two of them on either side of the casino!
-Sustain a population of at least 35 testificates -- They're hard to count! But I'm sure I got them all....
-Create a marketplace -- Does a casino count? I'm just going to say yes
-Construct docks and fishing huts --Oh yeah, done
-Build a tomb for any losses that may occur on this island -- There were a few losses, not counting myself XD
-And finally fend off the various monsters that killed the population in the first place. -- Do iron golems counts?

Well that was loads of fun! Thanks again to cecilhowe from the Curse Forums. This was a really fun and exciting map to play! It took a lot of time to complete (As the girlfriend will testify). If you want the link to the original thread it's right here!

Stay updated for my next adventure guys! Thanks for reading!

Portazo Island. Golden Fish Casino. Done.

Hello internet! It is over a warm bowl of banana and blueberry oatmeal that I am proud to announce I have finished this huge mega build I've been working on. Mind you. This is ALL legit. And ALL in survival mode. And I kind of secretly hate Minecraft now because of how much of my life I lost to this project. But here it is..... The Golden Fish Casino!

Tada! Now from more pictures of the finished product.

Lowered atrium.

First floor seating area

Stairs to the second floor behind glass.

View of the second floor balcony.

The inside of the second floor with a giant golden fish!

Fancy stairs to the third floor

Third floor lodge area.

Living room of one of the rooms on the third floor.

Third floor chandelier.

View of the ocean from the second floor window.

The second floor from a different angle.

The first floor from the top of one of the staircases.

View of the first floor entrance and one of the floor lava lamps.

The rest of this will just be pictures from various stages of construction.

The very first bit of foundation laid. Not exciting.

Almost all the foundation laid. Also, not exciting.

Carpet and rain. Also one of MANY chandeliers. Kinda neat.

Finally the first area 'done'. It steps down into the ground. Definitely cool.

A... Poker...? Black jack? Some sort of card game playing table.

Same sort of table, just on the other side.

Security booth? I don't know what it's called. That place where you cash in your tokens. I've never been to a casino. I just know these exist.

A view from inside the booth.

A view of the initial flooring of the casino from on top of one of the walls.

Really cool hard to pull off half circle staircase. Yes. Half circle. In Minecraft.

Another booth token place.

Just another view of the first floor. Different angle.

There's that area that steps down. More stuff added to it.

Around this time I noticed I had lots of sand and lapis laying around. So the natural idea was to use it up.

Check out those stairs. The glass was for safety and cuz I think it looked good.

More chandeliers? Why not?

Closer shot of it. Kinda neat-ish. Thank god for dirt towers.

You can kind of see a small planter I put in.

Seating area MK I. Coolish at first, but later I redid it.

Awesome bouncer guy. He fits well.

Golden fish. Yeah. This took a ton of gold. Some 850 bars or something. Again. All legit.

A view of the front entrance. I spiffed it up to be nice and casino-y

More chandeliers.

The villagers found it. For some reason the population exploded.

I saw this while building. Iron golem handing out roses.

They look like they're pretty neutral about the giant casino.

The top part of the structure.

Welcome to the second floor! Gold fish. Chandeliers and tables to gamble.

Table, chandeliers, and that gold fish.

Third floor lobby.

Kind bland bedrooms on the third floor. I spiffed them up a little more after taking these pictures.

The rest of the bedroom.

The living room. Each of the rooms has one with a fireplace. Which looks like a blast furnace honestly.

Another lobby with a huge cool window and some seating on the third floor.

That window worked out better than I'd thought.

Third floor chandelier. The girlfriend claimed casinos had lots of chandeliers.

The lighthouse from the second floor balcony.

The church and pier from the same balcony.

There's a small glass window sky walk on the second floor balcony too.

More villagers chilling and you can see the new seating area MK II

Of course. The info desk. Casinos have those right?

The outside of it at the time of completion. Anybody know what's missing? :)

A another view. Kinda dramatic angle.

The back side of the casino.

Yes, you can see it from the bell tower of the church.

You might be able to hit the casino from the top of the lighthouse.

So! I hope y'all enjoyed that. And now you can download and check out the island for yourself! This was made available before I put in all of the finishing touches in places, so feel free to redecorate and show me what you did with the place! I hope y'all enjoyed!
