Eldaria is gone :(

Well. I light of Diablo 3 I have not been playing much Minecraft. And when I remember that this blog was still a thing, I figured I out to do more Minecraft related stuff again.

But Eldaria is gone. I don't even know how but yeah...

On a brighter note I've got a new idea... Well a few.

First, I've begun modding, so if you still for some reason check here, keep an eye out, because I may be talking about some of the mods I'll be making for Minecraft.

Also, keep your other eye for for my new hard core series I'll be writing staring Adventure Kitty...

Shenanigans will ensue. In the mean time... Scary floating eyeball.

The Desecrated Church

So friends! I'm terribly sorry I've not be posting as of late. Been doing this weird job hunting thing (still no luck) and been playing around with the new snapshots (which will make some upcoming entries pretty awesome!) but I've got something for y'all to see.

You see, BusinessFish tends to get lonely in that crazy world of blocks, so from time to time (Quite often lately) he plays online. At an awesome server called Super WonderMine! Yes I know, it just sounds awesome. I even own a town!

And when I'm not accidentally lighting spawn on fire...

I'm building pretty awesome stuff... Like my Desecrated Church, which when finished will be our server's new mob arena!
Here are some pictures of the first area...

These are just a small taste of the first area. Mostly populated by spiders and a few zombies. The second area is a graveyard and crypt that is positively swarming with the undead. Thanks to two lovely members of our server (FrozenCamel and nicedog44) I managed to snag a few pictures of the me and FrozenCamel smashing undead, whilst nicedog44 ran away in apathetic bliss.
Here they are...

The church and crypt both have secret areas for those adventurers clever enough to find them, and there will be two more areas added soon! I hope y'all really enjoy these pictures, and if you'd like the stop on in the server to get a first hand look, the IP is: wondermine.no-ip.org

If y'all decide to join, ask for me, BusinessFish and tell me the code word "Fish bones" and I'll give you a couple of diamond blocks to get started if you like! Have a good one guys! And stay fishy!

Eldaria Entry #7

I stepped into the blacksmith's house with the man in the white apron. The blacksmith and other man spoke to each other and after a moment the blacksmith asked me to hand him my gear. I took off the iron and handed him my sword and tools. Whilst he worked on them he began to talk to me.

"You know? I've been doing some research lately. It would seem that long ago, out people used to have large iron protectors. I think I could build a few to take care of this village and teach you how to make them so you can put a few where ever you think would be good. I'm sure the other part of the village would appreciate a few as well."

"Alright, well I'll try to bring back some iron from the mines then"

The blacksmith handed me back my tools and armor. After I was ready I headed back to the other village and went to the mine.

The elevator they had made looked fairly rickety and out of repair. Somehow I knew it wasn't going to be that easy. I climbed down carefully and began to explore the mines. They seemed pretty standard and after a while I found a dark room full of mold. It seemed like this might have been where the zombie were coming from.

I ran in and cleared the room out. After the zombies were gone I broke that strange cage with a zombie effigy in it. I figured that would at least cut down on the zombie problem here in the mines. I picked through the chests and found nothing super amazing, just some wheat and redstone. I kept looking through the mines and before long found another room with one of those cages.

The room looked empty so I ran in and smashed the cage before anything appeared. I looted the chests and kept looking for more of these rooms. After a while I found a third one and cleared it out as well.

With the third room gone I was beginning to notice the mines were getting quieter. I could still hear some monsters crawling around but I think I had solved their zombie problem. With the zombies in check I decided now would be a good time to start clearing out what monsters were left and start mining some materials to help the villages build back up. It was only a short while before I found some useful things for myself as well.

After I had cleared out most of the minerals I could find i went back to the dungeons and mined out some of the stone. Under the flooring of one of the rooms I found even more diamonds.

After I had gathered all I could carry I went back up and began smelting some of the ores. I took so iron over to the black smith along with some of the diamonds I found to him.

"Wow!" The blacksmith exclaimed, "You're alive! And you've got plenty of material to work with too, let me see what you've got?"

"Well, I found plenty of iron and something a little shinier than that as well." I dumped a few diamonds out on his work table "Now, what can we do with all this?"

The blacksmith looked it all over and smiled "This will do nicely. Let me show you." He picked up as much of the iron as he could and brought it to his anvil. He began crafting what looked like some sort of mechanical arms and legs as he explained the process to me. After a bit he had a small pile of parts and told me to grab the hammer and try for myself.

With some sweat and his guidance I was able to make some legs a chest and arms. He then showed me how to set it all up. I watched him put his parts together, while I followed along with mine. After a while, we had two headless metal figures standing before us.

"Well... That's pretty cool, I guess." The blacksmith caught onto my sarcasm.

"Now bear with me..." The blacksmith stood there looking at the two iron figures. "We're missing something. Wait right here." The blacksmith went back into his house and came back out with a small notebook. He flipped through the pages, I could see some drawing and schematics inside. He continued flipping through the pages and stopped suddenly. "Ahh... I see. You wouldn't happen to have a pumpkin would you?"

"Umm, no why?"

"Well it seems that these iron guardians rely partially on the power of nature."

"What?"

"Yes. I think there might be a few growing out in the forest, or you could take these parts back to the other village and see if they have some growing."

"Alright, well then help me take this one apart." As we worked on taking my iron golem apart to take to the other town he explained that all I needed to do after putting him back together was the place the pumpkin where it's head should be and it would come to life.

I took the parts to the other village and set them up. The man in the white robe came up to me and began to watch me somewhat puzzled.

"Have you gone mad? What are you doing?"

"The blacksmith told me that this was some sort of ancient guardian. I figured a man made of iron would have a better chance of standing up against those creature from the forest. Plus we wouldn't have to worry about losing what few men you have left. Oh, I was also supposed to ask, do you have any pumpkins?"

"Umm, well we're not really growing any, but I know there are a few growing just outside the town, you could use those." He pointed in a direction and I could see a small patch growing.

"Perfect." As I snapped in the last piece I shook the man's hand and went over to the patch of pumpkins. I grabbed a few and headed back to my golem. "Well, here goes nothing..." A small crowd had gathered around the golem and they watched as I stepped up towards it. I placed a pumpkin where the head would have been. Every person watchign was silent. Waiting for something to happen.

After a moment, I noticed small vines and flowers growing quickly across the chest and the arms of the golem. The iron around the neck began to bubble and slowly crawled up the pumpkin covering it in a hard iron shell. I saw the vines begin to pulsate and pull on the arms. They raised slowly as his foot stepped forward. The eyes began to glow slightly. The crowd gasped in awe. The golem walked towards the man in the white robe. Silently he stared at him as the crowd cautiously backed away.

The man looked at the golem then nodded towards me. The golem slowly turned towards and stared down at me. I cleared my throat as we stared at one another.

"Go, go and protect these people." The iron golem broke eye contact and stood up straight. He scanned the surrounding area. He looked into the forest between the trees. He looked down at the gravel road and began walking. I followed him for a moment before I noticed this silent iron guardian was now patrolling the town. Satisfied I returned to the blacksmith.

"It worked, and here. I found a few pumpkins. I've also got some seeds so you guys can grow some more if you need them."

"Perfect!" The blacksmith pocketed the seeds and picked up the pumpkin. I followed him out and watched the same process as before. As the blacksmith came to life he spotted a small rose. He gently picked the rose and handed it to the blacksmith. "Thank you, now, please go and guard these people." The golem scanned the village and looked down as the gravel road and then began to patrol. "Well, I can't believe that worked. Truly amazing. With these guys around I'm sure we'll be much safer. Now, they're going to be pretty preoccupied by protecting the village, which leaves the problems in the forest, up to you. While you were gone I used some of those diamonds to make a sort of thank you gift for you." He pulled out a sword made of diamond. He demonstrated how strong and sharp it was but cutting through a part of fence.

"Wow, thank you. I sure this will come in handy." He handed the sword to me and I swung it a few times. "I really appreciate this"

"It's the least of what we could do. Now, go show those monsters how strong we really are. Once you've got some of the area in the forest safe again, we can start reclaiming land and rebuilding our city."

"Alright, well, here goes nothing." I turned around and looked through the forest once more. It looks like I've got my work cut out for me once again.

Eldaria Entry #6

It looked like a small village. I couldn't see anybody out and about, but I figured there might be someplace safe to wait out the night there. I ran through the villager looking for a open door or place I might hide.

As I ran past one house I heard the door open and a few sets of hands grabbed me and pulled me inside. I looked to see three men staring at me.

"Are you alright?" the one in the white robe asked me. I nodded while catching my breath. "Why are you here? And how did you find us?" I stood up and leaned against a table, still panting for air. After a moment one of the other men grabbed a glass full of water and set it next to me. Without thinking I gulped the water down. I let out one last huge breath.

"I found a map and followed it here. It was hidden back behind a waterfall." The man in the white robe and the one that handed me the water both looked back at the third man reproachfully. The third man began to blush as he stepped back. "I'm here to fight the enderdragon. I was sent here to destroy him." The three man looked back at me. One of them chuckled.

"Good luck!" He then left the building shaking his head as if I was insane.

"You cannot defeat the enderdragon" The man in the white robe bluntly stated. "You are no where near prepared enough. We watched you land your boat here. We thought you wouldn't make it past the monsters in the forest. You do realize that the enderdragon controls an army of endermen and his realm is far more terrifying than the nether, correct? Fighting him won't be like killing a common spider, which we noticed you had trouble with even that." He ended with a smug smile.

"Well, I told the guy that sent me here the same thing, but him and his book seemed to think I could do it. So here I am."

"You have much to learn. But you seem tired, follow me and I will show you where you may stay." The white robed man then left the building, without even waiting for me. I hurried after him and he took me to a small hut at the edge of the village. "The last person who lived here was taken by the creature of the forest. Maybe that iron armor and sword you've got will help you see a better fate. Good night" The man then left me standing there in front of this tiny shack.

The door was nothing but a pile of splinters and some hinges, all covered in blood. It wasn't exactly inviting, but I stepped inside and put a few torches inside. Despite the strong scent of blood and obvious stains from it on the floor, I started to clean it up. After I had put in a furnace some torches and a bed, it turned into a nice and cozy home. I was out of wood, so I grabbed an axe and began to head towards the forest.

There was a small gravel path that lead into the forest, but it was too dark to go exploring now. I cut down one of the smaller trees and went back to my new 'home' and put up a door and began to sleep. The next morning I found the man in the white robe again. He seemed to be the leader here. I asked him about the path through the forest and he explained that the village used to be much bigger, and after relentless attacks this and another small portion was all that was left. He went on to tell me that this part of the town was where most of the food was grown and where the metals and stone were mined as well. The other is where the blacksmith lived. He said they'd have a small band of people bring food and ores to the blacksmith and the people in the other portion and they'd come back with weapons and armors for the people in this portion.

"Unfortunately, the last party we sent hasn't come back yet. And the mines are getting too dangerous to work in. They've become infested with the undead, much like the forest. I fear it may be coming to an end soon for our little village." The man dropped his eyes to the ground. After a moment his eyes lit up again "Maybe you could help? I don't know if the food ever made it to the other part of the village, but maybe you could bring them some."

"Sure, I can do that without a problem!"

"Excellent. Then go back to the house we pulled you into and collect that wheat, then follow the path through the forest."

I followed his instructions. When i got back to the path leading into the forest, it seemed only slightly less intimidating at day than it did at night.

I grabbed my sword and started down the path with a pack full of wheat. After about 15 minutes of walking I found a small pack of zombies.

One of them seemed to have an iron sword stuck through his chest, but the blood on it looked dry. I took my sword and attacked. One of them managed to put a dent into my helmet, but they weren't much trouble for me. I seemed to be getting better at this. I pulled the sword out of zombie, and swung it a few times. I seemed fairly sturdy, so I figured I'd hang onto to. I kept walking down the path, and surprisingly those zombies were the only thing close enough to it to be a threat. After a little while I found a small bridge.

By this point the path was getting over grown in many places, but the path lead to it. I kept following and eventually made it to the other section of the town.

I walked through the town and saw a few people. Eventually thought I found a man in a white apron. He seemed to be running the show here so I went to speak with him.

After I had explained to him that I was here to bring his village some food, he asked if I had run into any problems. I explained about the pack of zombies and the sword I found. He told me it looked like the work of their blacksmith and suggested I bring it and the ores to him.

"Uh, I don't have any ores..."

"What?" The man looked puzzled at me. "Well why not?"

"I guess the mines in the other village are getting infested with the undead or something."

"I see, well that makes yet another problem for us. The number of creature in the forest is getting out of hand, my guess is that sword belonged to the last group of people who were supposed to being us supplies. If our parties keep getting killed, we will starve and the other part of the town won't be able to get weapons. And now with the mines infested, surely we are doomed."

"Well, I've got some decent armor, maybe if your blacksmith could fix it up and sharpen my sword I could help."

"Really? That would be wonderful! Thank you adventurer! Here, follow me to the blacksmith's."

Eldaria Entry #5

I was still a little unsettled by the fact that somehow an enderman had not only gotten into my shelter, but also into my dreams. As a result I decided it was time to make a more secure base. I found a nearby mountain and begun to dig up into it. After some work I had hollowed out a large potion of the mountain. After which I put in some flooring and chests along with a few bits of furniture and my new more secure base was ready.

I stepped outside to get a look at it.

I think that it was safe to say that this was a fairly inconspicuous hideout. Feeling safe that my belongings wouldn't be tampered with in my absence, I decided to set out and get the search for the portal in full force.

There was one river left that I hadn't search yet. It was on the other end of the plain, so I figured it was far enough from the others that it would lead someplace new. I pushed my boat off the sand into the water and set sail once more. This river was a lot wider and open than the others, and right after I had passed the first mountain I had found a massive waterfall.

I swam over to it and found a small opening. The waters were moving too fast for me to mine and open it up anymore. I reached in and felt around. I felt some sort of cylinders inside. I grabbed the three of them and pulled the out. They were rolled up bits of parchment. I looked at them and they were very clearly a map. But they seemed hastily drawn. While looking at them I noticed they seemed to follow the river I was on. I stuffed them inside my shirt to keep them from getting wet, and swam back to my boat. I pulled out the maps and began to follow the crudely drawn landmarks. After a bit the river opened into the ocean, but I could see on the map and in the horizon an island. As I drew nearer I could tell something was strange about the island.

The land looks like it was covered in some sort of purple fuzz and it looked like there was gigantic mushrooms on it. I decided to step on shore and investigate further.

I walked around for a while and eventually decided this weird purple fuzz covering the ground was some sort of fungus. As I stepped I could see dozen of tiny spore forming small clouds. I checked out some of the giant mushrooms and decided to try to take a few samples with me. The middle of a strange foreign place wasn't the area to be eating strange mushrooms. I stuffed them into my pack and labeled them reminding me to investigate them further later. I was still puzzled by this area so I went on to investigate further. I found a large hole that might have had something to do with it.

But I could see some bare stone in places. It was almost looked as if somebody had been mining here, but for a really long time. And a little bit away I found something else rather interesting. It looked like a large explosion had happened there some time ago.

I'm not exactly sure what happened, but one thing was for sure. There were no survivors. Not even traces that human life had ever been there. I could see the sun beginning to set and I figure this mysterious island wouldn't be a good place to be once night hit. I ran back the the shore where I left my boat and jumped back in. I rowed around the island and continued to follow the map.

Eventually I found two tall sharp mountains. I could see them on the map and they were thankfully close to the map's destination.

I kept sailing and I could see barely an island in the distance. This had to be where the map was leading me. I rowed toward it even faster as the sun fell through the sky. I knew there was no way I'd make it ashore before nightfall.

As I got closer I noticed the moon coming up and figured there was no sense in getting ashore now.

I rowed around the island a little bit looking for a good place to land int he morning and I saw something that caught my eye.

There seemed to be a light. Maybe there was a safe place for me to hide after all. Not wanting to be on this boat anymore. I found a safe place to land.

It wasn't until I hit the shore that I noticed the trees on this island were huge. They must have been thousands of years old. I could see a small light peaking through the trees. I headed in that direction and I found something better than I had hoped for. It appeared to be a small village.
