Eldaria (Not A Brief) Brief

Hey guys! I'm ready to begin my new map! I recently finished Portazo Island, which was loads of fun! You can go back and read up on all that. I learned a lot from that trial run and hopefully this one will be even more exciting. In case you don't know, my next adventure will be in a map by Aurelien_Sama from planetminecraft.com.

So! Let's get down to business with the fishes. From what I gather Eldaria (officially called Eldaria Island, but I'll be referring to it as Eldaria, simply because this is a LARGE collection of islands) is a custom landscaped group of islands. The map is over 2000 by 3000 blocks large (holy crap). This is MUCH bigger than Portazo Island and required a lot more work to make. The screen shots put out by the maker are absolutely stunning. If you're the type that loves all sorts of cool land features and a beautiful view, this is the map for you!

I downloaded a bunch of his maps, only to find out that all the one I wanted to play were just part of this massive map, so despite my fear of being hopelessly lost and overwhelmed, I decided to go ahead and dive in. I initially downloaded the creative and survival versions of the map, so I had one to play, and the creative version to do a quick scan. In roughly an hour I had still not seen half of what the map had to offer. It's bloody massive. I felt bad about it at first, thinking it was cheating, but I just found myself flying over everything just to get a birds eye view of the places. There are two (or more) volcanoes, a bunch of really these fantastic forests, massive mountains, riveting rivers, and a beautiful bayou. I think it's a bayou at least, lots of tall trees water and mushrooms. And that's not even half the map! I took a look in a small area on foot and found an underwater cave. On the way out of the cave I noticed another cave in the side of a mountain I had missed before! The map is really something special! Please, give this fish some love and check out his map! The link is right here!

Now, I have a very devoted reader, that requested this map, and because the maker didn't set goals, him and i worked some out. I met him on reddit and I want to thank my new fish friend Arcanize for showing me this gem and helping me work out some goals. Show that fish some love too guys! Anyways, here are the goals for this map we've worked out.

-Build a structure suitable for living [EASY]
-Construct a base inside of a mountain [MEDIUM]
-Build a bridge from one mountain to another [HARD AND TEDIOUS]
-Build a castle [MEDIUM] (Arcanize set these difficulties by the way, When I build castles, i don't screw around. I'm setting that one at [VERY HARD]
-Populate the island [HARD, BUT OPTIONAL] (not still sure I want to do this, I'd have to download a mod to get the eggs...)
-Build a windmill next to your farm that you use to make bread [MEDIUM]
- Cultivate the stronghold and convert it into a barracks (MAKE SURE TO ADD WEAPONS IN CHESTS FOR REALISM) [VERY HARD]
- Add a piston door to your mountain base [EASY]
-Go to the end and kill the dragon [HARD]

So, as you can see I've got a bunch of work set out for me. I'll be beginning in a little, and hopefully this will be fun for everybody! One last thing, I'd like the personally thank the reddit community, specifically /r/Minecraft for their support, comments and feed back on the things that I've done over these last few weeks! Thanks again guys! You're awesome. I promise reddit something special! You guys are awesome!

Anyways, I'm off to Eldaria now... Stay fishy!
